Using Roger CPA review, I have passed all four sections of the CPA exam in 9 months while working full time, luckily with only one retake necessary. I tested out a lot of review courses, and Roger stood out for its simplicity and usability. Roger actually teaches you in his lectures, with you as the student. He gives a great overview of each chapter so that you can get your head around the concepts. Perhaps more important, I found the textbooks to have the perfect amount of detail. Reading through them after the video lectures is where a lot of the real learning happens, and I also appreciate how many questions are included at the end of each chapter. I would absolutely recommend this study course to anyone. I tried and failed numerous times with another review course, and when that license expired, I decided to take a different approach. That's when a colleague of mine referred Roger CPA Review. I purchased the basic study package and complimented the material with the cram courses, as needed. I also utilized the six-month extension option (SUPER helpful). What a difference this course made! I passed AUD and REG on the first try with Roger, and although I had to take FAR and BEC more than once with Roger, my scores reflected a significant increase when compared to my scores from using the previous review course. What made the difference for me is the manner in which Roger CPA Review is taught. It was like I was sitting in a classroom, with concepts being illustrated on a white board and explained to me in a conversation-type way. Don't ever think that only because English is not your first language and struggling to come up with the right terminologies, or that you graduated from college ten years ago and many accounting standards have become obsolete since, or that you struggle to balance work and study, or you're battling personal issues and more - that you can't make it. I am all these but Roger CPA made my study journey easy, fun (super!) and efficient. It's just a matter of time management and clarity of purpose. First of all, I want to thank Roger and his whole team for all the time and effort put into this amazing course. I sat for all four parts of the exam within 3 months, and passed them all on my first attempt. I was initially afraid of the exam, since I had heard it was the most difficult professional exam out there. However, with my strong educational background and the help of Roger CPA Review, I was able to achieve my ambitious goal of passing the entire exam in under 3 months. "If you study you will pass." That's what Roger would say in the videos and that is what I currently tell my friends who are still trying to take parts of the CPA exam. I definitely recommend this course over others because of the videos. I mean, sure the material can get boring and Roger's jokes can be a bit corny at times, but they keep you engaged. A super benefit of this course is the ability to watch the videos at a faster speed, (125%, or 150%). This helped me get through the longer, drier sections and would make me really pay attention since the video was going fast. Lastly, SmartPath is the best! I followed those recommendations to the very last question and it was great. I felt confident I would pass once I reached the top of every mountain on each section. I decided to take the CPA exam right after my graduation (several years ago), and tried out Becker at first, but it did not work out for me. Not that their product is not developed well, but I did not take out a lot from the lectures. I was easily distracted and cannot stay focused for long, plain lectures. So I would end up just looking for the words to highlight all over the pages but without learning anything. I even did not finish studying with Becker that time. Then I gave up for a little while and thought I cannot do the CPA Exam. One of my friends recommended Roger CPA Review, and he was at the last part with Roger. I then looked up some sample lectures on YouTube, and found that the hilarious lectures and well-organized materials suited my study pattern very well. I decided to give the CPA Exam a second try. I purchased the Elite Course Package a couple years ago. I really loved the 6 month extension, because if you use the whole 18 month window, and the course expires in 18 months, you will not be able to use the course for the last part. At least that was my case. I ended up using the entire 24 months of the course. The cram courses are great too. For FAR, I stopped my studying in the middle of the course for like a month, and when I picked it up again, I forgot most of the materials I had already studied, and did not want to watch all the detailed lectures again, and the cram course saved me half of the time. I also enjoyed the audio courses, because I have a long commute to work (about 40 mins single way). Every morning, I would get into the car and start the audio courses to review materials that I covered and to preview materials I would learn for the week. It worked out for me. I did not used the flash cards much, but I don't mind having them around just in case. I admit that the questions were not hard enough, and the SIM questions are not super good, but they will give you enough practice and enough to get you a passing grade. They are improving. I am happy to learn that the Elite Course Package never expires now (although I did not have it when I purchased it). You never know what would happen in the process of preparing for the CPA Exam. Take myself as an example, the entire preparation process - give-up - prepare-again - pass - took me almost 6 years, and ended up purchasing two CPA review products. If I had a never-expiring review course, I would save tons of money. To sum up, Roger helped me pass the CPA Exam. I love Roger! -- OH UNIV

I did not want to do a review until I completed the entire course and received scores. It was tough to wait since I am so satisfied with this product. I would highly recommend Roger CPA Review. The range of products allowed me to maximize my opportunities to study while working full time. I found the study calendar to be a very valuable tool. This allowed me to gauge my progress in an honest manner. It is a simple tool, but it is essential. I started off using the 12 month calendar and shifted gears to the 9 month calendar once I got into the routine of studying. I was able to pass all 4 parts on the first attempt within 8 months. I was extremely satisfied with the variety of tools available. The online lectures were great in allowing me to make the most of my time when on the move. I would estimate that it allowed me to add 7-8 hours of studying per week versus either books alone, or a tool accessible only via a laptop. The textbooks are better than other options I've seen. The MCQ and TBS practice questions allowed me to prove whether or not my studying was working. I graduated with my BA in Accounting 18 years ago so to say I was a little rusty at my accounting concepts was an understatement. I read many CPA review course reviews on-line and the highest rated was Roger. Even though I had never heard of this prep course, I trusted what the reviewers were all saying and bought it. I am employed full time as a Director of Finance, and am currently enrolled in an Executive MBA program. I spent my summer break from school studying for FAR and REG, while continuing to work. I did exactly what Roger said to do, I watched the videos and utilized the SmartPath system in conjunction with the IPQ questions. I got my scores on the practice questions to align with the ranges in the SmartPath and I passed. I love the technology of this product. I was able to watch videos on line and off line. There are audio files of the lectures you can download into your iTunes, I listed while I took walks or drove in my car. There are practice questions on the Roger app. It is extremely convenient and easy to work studying into a very busy / full schedule such as my own. School has just started up again but that isn't stopping me, I have begun studying for BEC & AUD while working and taking MBA classes. I did some research, went through some free trials, and eventually purchased Roger CPA Review's product. Roger CPA Review was either the best or 2nd best CPA course on the market by several review sites, and it absolutely lived up to its reputation (I'm biased because I passed each test on the first try by a good margin). Roger is a great lecturer who shows great enthusiasm and humor, with a bunch of needed sarcasm as you go through many hours of lecturing. Yes, his handwriting can be a little better, but it sure beats reading through a Powerpoint slide as some competitors do. The length of each lecture is about the right length, not too short or long. Mnemonics were great and I actually created more for myself, especially for AUD which is my weakest area. The practice test questions are actually harder than the actual CPA Exam. While Roger CPA Review does not have most test questions in the marketplace, it's enough to do well because they are quality questions. The only complaint is maybe not enough BEC questions. The flashcards were helpful, plus very good quality. I did not use the Cram Course and Audio Lectures. With this all being said, I feel most people cannot pass the CPA Exam the first time by just watching Roger's lectures and taking practice questions. The student should also actively take notes during the lecture (like going to college), read the textbook carefully, and develop other aids to help you. While Roger's mnemonics are really helpful, the student will likely have to invent their own mnemonics to fill in the gaps, especially on his/her weakest area (I created more mnemonics than Roger had on AUD). Just like college, Roger's lectures will cover most of the material on the textbook but NOT all the material so you need to study it carefully. -- CORNELL UNIV

I began my CPA Exam journey a little over a year ago. With the help of Roger CPA Review, I have now passed all four sections of the exam. I researched many of the other competitor review courses but found this one to work best with my budget and work schedule. The videos were excellent sources of material, and I thoroughly enjoyed the short nature of each one (if I recall correctly, no video exceeded 40 mins in length). I found the course textbooks to be perfectly suited for my studying as well, leaving plenty of space for notes. The Interactive Practice Questions, Homework Help Center, and Study Planner were also instrumental in my success. The questions more than adequately prepared me for what type of questions would be on the exam. The format of the questions were identical to those seen on the exam itself. The Homework Help Center was a great source of assistance as many of the questions I had could be answered based on those already asked and answered by other students. Of course, the Study Planner was great as it allowed me to create a schedule and keep focused on getting through all of the material and questions. By using this course, I felt completely prepared for each section of the exam on test day. There were no surprises on the type or content of the actual exam questions. When I started researching for CPA Review material, the main thing I was focused on was how expensive it was. Roger CPA Review, even with the highest $$$ package, is one of the most cost effective review courses that I found. I looked at most of the other review courses that were possible and I felt that Roger CPA Review gave more substance. What I mean is that they gave more items and study tools compared to competitors. The Audio lessons and the already made flashcards were a giant help for me. The constant ability to be reviewing while at work or while commuting to work was enormous. The combination of the textbooks, the review videos, the MCQS and SmartPath (helped me for final exam) were all great tools. I have to give it to Roger, his Mnemonics were amazing. He mentions it quite a lot in his videos but they do help tremendously. I recall from college courses that repetition and practice are key to studying. Constantly being reminded of the Mnemonics made them easy to remember and that he constantly reviews them in the videos helps students know where and what he was referring to at any given point. I would suggest people who are looking for review courses to really consider this one. The accounting material is not going to be that different among the different choices other then how specific some get. No matter which one you choose, the equation is always going to be A=L + OE, or whose statements are these "managements'". I felt that Roger's lessons aimed more on theory and understanding instead of just, this is the answer. The MCQs help you understand the theory and the SmartPath helps you pinpoint areas that could use some work. Roger CPA Review is an outstanding course! He makes learning so much fun! I graduated in 1990 with an accounting degree from Baylor University. I took the exam for the first time in 1993 and passed two parts, took it again and passed another part. I never could seem to conquer BEC. After I lost all of my credits for parts I did pass, I quit. I always got great jobs in the accounting field, had a side bookkeeping business that was so much fun and kept me active; not chained to a desk. I bought a spa in 2006 and loved that business so much it didn’t feel like work. But in 2008, the market crashed; my spa was in the heart of Dell Computer country and many of my customers were Dell employees who lost their jobs. I ran out of the teeny tiny amount of money I had. I closed and declared bankruptcy. I went back into governmental and non-profit accounting that I’d worked in since college. Thank goodness for an accounting degree. In 2016 I was diagnosed with a large, malignant, inoperable brain tumor. I didn’t want to die not having successfully finished the exam and without doing some other fun things. It always bothered me that I had quit 23 years ago. After I finished a year of chemotherapy and radiation, I needed lots of practice learning new things. I used the review course to exercise my brain in addition to other memory aids. I studied a lot to prepare. And I studied for about 8 months. Some days I felt like the pigeon and some days, the statue. I had to repeat many sections multiple times to really nail things down. But I was willing to do it as many times as it took. For me, I used the opportunity to learn, not to memorize; memorization was almost impossible for me given my medical condition. I thought that if I could get the concepts, I would be able to apply them to almost anything. I really believed I could pass. Roger reaffirmed this with his famous quotes, “If you study, you will pass. The CPA exam is not an IQ test. It is a test of discipline…” and others. I also had worked with a cognitive therapist who helped me with accommodations. His records for me indicated I would benefit from 1.5X the amount of time. I finished the exam with 6 minutes left of the 6 hours I was allowed. Roger CPA Review was great. I may have given up early on if I’d taken a course with a droning speaker who read to me. I had to turn down the speed many times, though. His speech cadence is impressive. Haha! I am SO grateful for that feature! It was a fun course, and I learned so much! I tested FAR on November 10, 2018. That day, I felt ready to test, but left the exam feeling like I missed almost everything. But… I passed with a 78. Like every other student, I started with a trial session with each of all the popular review courses and it took me no time to choose Roger CPA Review. Thanks to the energy that Roger displays during his lectures. While I viewed every lecture twice, I hardly felt the need to read through the course material as his lectures were so thorough. I passed all 4 sections on the FIRST try with ROGER!!!! I remember reading all the reviews and seeing so many people say that, but after learning only about 25% of people pass all 4 on the first try and the pass rate on each section being between 45-55% I was thinking no way! BUT Roger proved me wrong! I watched all the videos and then did a couple quizzes after each few sections to keep it fresh, but then really went back and did MC after MC after MC when I finished the videos. I didn't really do as many SIMS as I probably should have but doing so much MC and having them tell me correct/incorrect with reasoning taught me the concepts so well I understood the SIMs on the exam. I've been out of school for about 3-4 years and have a full-time job, and 2 children, but Roger made the videos interesting to watch and had goofy way to remember the information. I tried a couple other programs' trial periods before choosing Roger, but immediately knew that slideshows and monotone voices were not going to be able to hold my attention. Roger trying to sneeze with his eyes open was much more entertaining! If you're looking for a study program to really walk you through examples and keep your attention, look no further! I have continued to work full time, and even witnessed the birth of my child 3 days before one of the exams. I have passed 3 of the sections, and will find out by the end of the month if I passed the final section (BEC). I was able to pass all four parts in a 6 month window (July-January) even with a short busy season in September and October. The videos were super helpful in learning the material, and then all of the IPQ's helped solidify my learning. For me what made Roger CPA Review stand out was Roger's energetic lectures and SmartPath. While Smartpath could use some tweaking in the ratio of multiple choice questions to task based simulations, it is smart (no pun intended) to compare current candidates to those who have passed in order to gauge one's progress. The textbook is solid and the phone app was very useful in that I was able to listen to lectures while commuting to work.
