Hi ... everyone...
I gave exam on Jan 19. It was quite better exam than I thought.
But, still I do not know how I have performed.
1st and 2nd block : I was very fresh minded and with energy, so completed 1st block in 55 minutes., then rechecked marked questions which were 6. then started 2nd block. Then I felt some tiredness, so took 10 minutes brake.
3rd Block : something new questions I found, many questions I guessed, but still remained calm, but in 4th block, I found my brain stucked after 20-21 questions of block 4, even simple questions started to take my time more. So, I did rest for 3 minutes in block while block cont.
Then took 20 min brake, and completed 2 other block, then 15 min brake and did last block.
Kaplan notes 1 reading and BRS( for Behavioral only, found better than kaplan) , then took uworld , I felt that I took it too early, but then i found that my 2nd reading was good after uworld.
first aid 2 times
My U world score 60%
NBME form 2 on 30th dec- 198/390 ... not a good score
NBME form 3 on 10th Jan- 227/520 ...wow I was happy
I did more and more questions from anywhere I could find on net.
So, my opinion is - Do more and more questions, do not think like that thing or this topic will be come in my mind in real exam or not, just do not depressed if u find more que incorrect and do not start to read another time that whole book again and again.
Do 1 reading of kaplan notes good, then take uworld for 2 months, complete it and then do 2nd reading along with first aid, then give NBME 24-25 days before ur exam date, and see ur weak areas, and here I want to say imp. point- Do not depressed and work 10-12 days perticularly on that weak areas only, then give another NBME test, u will definately find ur score good, then after 8-9 days give ur real exam. So, prepare according to that time line. When I gave first nbme exam, i had low score, didn't feel good, then I read only weak areas for some days, and in next form, I gained good score.
1 more Imp. msg- Do not waste ur time in reading forums and etc., just focus in books ...
Fir CNS- see CT scans, X-rays and MRI, which will be more helpful than deep study ...!!!
I hope my exam was quite good, but in some blocks I felt that I am not able to pass this exam, but still u all know that everyone gets surprise in step-1 result, so I am not sure I will pass or not ...
