i am an IMG and did not score very good on step 1.....CK it's on the way but i would like to get in 2011 ERAS program.....i need some letters of recomandation and wonder if it's better to get it from an attending or is OK from a doctor too? what do you think about volunteer-is it worth it or it's a waste of time? it will look good on ERAS aplication or has no value at all this volunteer time? i could get first in a volunteer program for 1-2 months and then going into an observership(by that time i should be able to have both CS and Ck scores and, by my calculation, i should be finish with those before july 1st).....thanks to anybody who can help me.....

hi, its good to do volunteering , its increases the value of CV. LOR are aways good from American Professor. Better do voluntering/observership in a program where u r interested, bcoz if u work goog there they will absorb u .
