Passed in 60, thought I failed!

Hi everyone. I’d like to post here since I was seriously tracking this forum before I took my nclex. UWORLD was an amazing resource for passing the nclex!! It’s definitely overwhelming at first because the rationales are so rich so it takes a while to answer a decent amount of questions. My strategy was initially only doing 30-60 questions a day, and then I slowly worked myself up to 150 a day. You eventually get used to doing more questions.

I think the reason I passed is because I finished the question bank AND I typed out every single rationale in a word document. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DOING THIS!!!! The nclex is very random and you have no idea what topics you’ll get. I wrote down rationales for questions I got wrong AND right and I studied this document everyday. It ended up being a 90 page document.... lol😅 but I was determined to study it!

It’s very important to answer questions based on educated guesses and process of elimination but ALSO to build your knowledge! You will feel very confident if you have a good knowledge base going into that exam.

Next, I’m sure you’ve heard of this but please consider listening to Mark Klimek audio!! I listened to all of them 4 days before my exam and honestly, I can say I got atleast 10 questions right just because I listened to that audio. Even a medication that he mentioned (which I never even saw on uworld) was on my exam!! All you have to do is type in mark klimek audio on google & it’ll come up! The link even has his notes you can follow along with. If you don’t have time to listen just listen to the prioritization one and whichever topic you are weakest in. The way we were taught prioritization is not enough. ABCs almost never works during those questions, mark goes thru how to answer it based on another principle (acute > chronic, and unexpected in a disease process > expected).

The nclex itself is less wordier than uworld, which is nice. The anxiety during taking that exam made the exam very difficult and strenuous for me. Uworld gives little clues in the question which helps you pick an answer. The nclex is very straightforward almost like “either you know it or you don’t” but you can still make educated guesses by elimination. My #1 tip is to not try and gauge if you are getting harder or easier questions in order to determine if you’re doing well or not. The questions are so individualized, you can keep getting questions that you “think” are easy and you can psyche yourself out during the exam thinking that you’re not doing well! My last 10 questions were “easy” for me and I really thought that meant I failed when the computer shut off at 60!! I cried after and felt so upset because I thought I did terrible! The waiting was way worse than the exam itself. I definitely got a lot of questions wrong (because I remembered some and looked up the correct info after) and STILL passed so please have hope in yourself! You only need to score about 58% right in order to pass this exam!! YOU CAN DO IT ❤️

These kinds of things are part of life. It usually happens. Lots of times I got lost in the casino games but I continue to play them. Now for 1 month, I have started earning good money. I also observed that most of the people in Finland play casinos and select games from https://casino358.com/minimitalletus/10-euron/ here. If you also love playing casinos then this source could be very beneficial for you.
