I take the NCLEX in 6 days, and it will be my second attempt. The first time, I used Kaplan (HORRIBLE) and failed with 265 questions. I decided to give UWORLD a try after hearing only good things about it. I was scoring 51-56% at first but have now consistently scored 61-64% and one 72% on qbank (all with 75 q). I just took my assessment test yesterday and got a 71% (92nd percentile) with a VERY HIGH chance of passing. I know my scores are on the right track, but I cannot afford to fail the nclex a second time so I'm wondering if I should postpone my exam to allow myself more time to study? has anyone gotten these scores and not passed?
I know scores aren't important and reading the rationales is everything, but I'm already doing that and I think that' why I'm improving. But I just need some input from those that have taken the nclex already!
Thank you in advance

I would say to go for it. I took the exam 5 times and never felt prepared. the last time i took it, my uworld scores and self assessment score was similar to yours and i passed in 80 questions. as long as you're reading the rationales, you should be ok.
Hi! I am almost more than halfway through the questions in Uworld. I am at the 53rd percentile. I still have not taken the assessment 1 or 2. It sounds to me like you are doing great!
I completely understand you my test is on Sept 11 and I am thinking about postponing also, as failing again would kill me. With my I scoring around 56-73 on the exams. Hoping for better scores.... GOOD LUCK! You can do this!

Ahhh thank you so much for the encouragement, I feel a lot better now! did you think that UWORLD questions were harder than the NCLEX? I remember when I took the nclex the first time, I thought it was so much harder than the questions I was used to, but that could have been because Kaplan didn't really prepare me at all

I thought uworld questions were harder but the nclex questions seemed so vague. For the SATA, it felt like all of answers could be correct. I think that uworld trains us well when reading rationales that we pick answers correctly without thinking they're right.. when I was in the exam, I can tell you I had no idea about some of the questions so I "guessed" and didnt think I passed when I walked out of there. I think most people feel like that. You're going to do great!
