Hey everyone,
--Just wanted to briefly share my experience of taking the NCLEX. I took it last month on a Thursday morning. Some tips I recommend is to take it in the morning (if you can/prefer) because you will walk straight into the exam after a (hopefully) good night sleep when you are well rested. Don't forget to eat breakfast, even if it's just toast. It's important to stay calm and keep your focus on the exam rather than your surroundings. After I finished the test at question 76, I was partially confident I had passed because the last question I knew I had answered right. However, I still wanted to see some sort of confirmation of passing.
--Since I took the NCELX on a Thursday, I wasn't sure if the BRN would post results on the weekend (Saturday). Thus, I tried to do the PVT that everyone talks about. I waited a about 4 hours after I finished the NCLEX to try it. When I filled in my card information and clicked next, I got the "good" pop-up, meaning it wouldn't let me pay again for the test. I was pretty happy, even though I knew it wasn't the official result; it still put my mind at ease.
--When I searched my name on the BRN site, it was exactly 48 hours after I had finished the NCLEX and low and behold, my name had a license number with it! I PASSED NCLEX ON THE FIRST TRY!!! So, yes, for those who are wondering the BRN can post results during the weekend. I also believe the PVT is pretty accurate, but of course, don't rely solely on it. I believe buying the quick results would be a waste of money because you can do this trick for free and you'd still have to wait for the official results either way.
--Lastly, I wanted to share the materials I used to study for NCLEX. Your nursing school hopefully has prepped you with ongoing SATA questions and prioritization cause you will need that knowledge. I also used ATI's Comprehensive NCLEX-RN Review book given to me by my nursing school. I used this in combination with the UWorld Qbank and it was just like PB&J. Anything that wasn't in the book, I'd highlight and write it down from the Qbank. I highly encourage you all to read over the rationales and focus on what the question is asking. Sometimes, the questions on the NCLEX were much more direct and simple you may be tempted to look more into it, but avoid doing so! Only answer what the question is asking, don't assume anything it doesn't ask for. Above all, be confident... you've studied hard to get at this point!!! If you have any other questions, let me know!

Congrats on your success !!!!. Can you please explain the steps of how you searched your name on the BRN website ? Thank You

Hello! Thank you very much

It depends what state you live in, but in California you can go to
THIS link and it should send you to the license search.
Just scroll down to enter your First and Last name then click search. You can also narrow it down by choosing the "Registered Nursing Board" then entering the rest of your info.
