simple question
Iam looking for an answer to my simple question ;
My U.W subscription will end on 27 of this month , while my exam will be on 28 of sep . I finished almost 50% of the Q bank .
my overall percentage of correct answers was 59%.
I would like to ask If it was better to continue solving MCQ and read their explanations till the exam day OR I should read and focus on myweak points ??
one last thing I am looking for a study partner in saudi arabia, jeddah city .
I finished step one exam in May 2010. I think you can finish MCQ and explanation within this period. I took 7blocks each day. I first try to complete MCQ and then try to emphasize on the questions i make wrong. I read explanation thoroughly. its really helpful to practice 7blocks in a day.
continue
There are 46 questions in each block in exam so I set question mode as in actual exam. I practiced 7blocks every day (ie: 322 MCQ a day) because I subscribed uworld 13days before my exam date. After solving all MCQ, I read the explanation for the questions that I didn't understand well or I was wrong. By doing MCQ, you can see your weak points. Its easy to compile incorrect question in each block and you can learn thoroughly on these questions. I usually put my review books like first aid and medessential beside me while I am reading the explanation and copy some notes from explanation to my review books. You have more than a month period for your exam, I hope its enough time to prepare.

Thank u ,
I would like to ask you what does BLOCK mean ???
I take 30-25 MCQ per day with their explanations .
Do you mean that I should keep on doing mcq rather than reading , actually doing mcqs will not be boring like reading ,some times I read topics that are not that important in the exam .
block means 1 whole set of questions which is in uworld is 44 items. as i can see, you should be reading like 2 blocks a day, meaning 48 questions, to finish uworld on your desired date and you can actually go back to the incorrect questions. hope this help.

Thank u for these helpful answers , I will try hard to follow this one block plan . although I am not that hard worker type But It worth it .
Did anyone try (STEP UP USMLE2) book ?
Is it good enough or other books like secrets & first aid would be better ?

It's funny.. No one was answering Mr. Smith when he had some weird username but now when he changed it to Mr. Smith.. people started answering.. so funny...
I still call my self Mr.smith no change ,

also , 88 mcq per day is too much how can I review all these answers .......
I like the I idea of studying but it should not be that way .
studying the whole day .... my brain might get so stuffed with informations .
there should be a space ..... so , I can handle and process all this input ..inside my brain { NOT 250 GIGABYTE HARD DISK ) .....
oh... 88 is not too much. i've read in this forum, others are doing 3 sets... meaning 132 questions. but of course no rush... if you think you are better with your current # of questions, that would be fine. just a suggestion though...
I can solve 88 mcq , BUT I cant review them all I cant keep on seeing all the explanations and answers .
