Hi,Doctors
I got my ck score last week.250(99)!!!
I must say that U/W realy helped me get through this!!!
I studied for 6 months:
Kaplan books 2 times,and then U/W(Average 67%) 2 times.
I wanna say that the main exam was realy like the U/W questions, but just a bit longer.try to read quick as you can.It was a hard day(crushing)but remember it passes.
Do U/W and go on.you can do it!!!!
Remember we are doctors and we can achieve anything we want!!!!
Good luck!!!!

Hi
Congrats on such a brilliant score.
My exam is scheduled on July 29th. I am done with Kaplan twice and UW once. My UW scores are very disappoitning. 59%.
I will revise UW now. But I am quite frustrated now. I got 99/234 in Step 1 and my UW score was 69% on average.
What do you suggest me to improve?
Your advice will count a lot to me.
Thanks.

Hi dear Dr,
The only thing that i would tell you is that try to revise your UW as much as possible.Discard other materials and just focus on your UW and your notes.you will see the result.I mention again just read UW and nothing else.
Don't be frustrated.I think you have enough time to prepare. Also work on your timing ,because questions are a bit longer in real exam.
Good luck,

Hi
I think it worth to read kaplan notes once quickly if you have time and then start UW.Try to take notes from UW and review that notes in the last week.
Good luck

Hi
I think at this time reviewing kaplan makes no sense.Just focus on UW and take notes of that and read your notes in the last week.I read my notes 3 times last 2 weeks and this helped me a lot.
Good luck

Hi,
I did UW self assessment a week before the exam and the result was exactly the same!

Hi,

I didn't touch Kaplans and just did UW and FA,I don't think you need to do kaplans.

Got my score today for step 2: 248/99. I felt it was important to share my strategies with the forum.
Preparation: Read first aid books for every respective clerkship (OB/GY, psychiatry, surgery, medicine, pediatrics, and family medicine. Did world questions twice with 65% fisrt time and 77% second time. The first time i read the entire first aid for each respective discipline and didworld questions for that discipline. The second time, I randomized all the questions. The week before the exam I read the first aid book for step 2 CK( very helpful). I studied throughout my 3rd year of medical school as not to overwhelm myself. I also took NBME 1-4 the month before exam, with respective scores of 750, 700, 780, and 730.
If any of you prepare yourself like this, you should be more than well-prepared for the exam. With this preparation, do not doubt yourself when reading the questions during the exam, especially when an answer pops up in your head mid-way through the question. Your instincts will be right; answer the question and move on. I found myself getting into old habits of overthinking and not trusting myself a few times during the exam, which probably cost me a higher score ( do not fall into this trap if you prepare just as I did).
First, I'd like thank God for empowering me and giving me strength and health so study. Second, I'd like to thank UWorld for the many great questions they provide as an excellent studying tool for this exam.

Many people said read KAPLAN and DONT read First Aid for CK because it is not helpful.. I am very concerned about these contradicting statements...
