Dear all,
I'm an old IMG, having prepared for step1 for almost 1.5 years.
My NBME form 6 score was 460 one month ago.
I took form 7 yesterday and scored 490 only.
My real test is in 10 days. I'm very anxious now, since I have put lots of efforts into the study of step1.
I don't know whether I should postpone my exam or not. I do need a decent score for appilcation.
Any suggestion? Thanks!

I'm a young IMG, but all the while that I was reviewing for Step 1 in the evening, I was also working during the day.

For me, a very crucial point that I did was do the Self Assessment of Uworld 1 month prior to my schedule (score = 218). Then did qbank, and then finally another self assessment (score 242) the day prior to the exam.

During the week of my exam, I filed for leave and studied day and night. I reviewed First Aid from cover to cover. Oh and if you have Katzung's Pharma review, study religiously the appendix at the back which lists all the medicines that you need to know. That was really what I did. Didn't do any kaplan videos, NBMEs, or even Goljan. I think in my opinion less is more. Master what you have little than overstuff yourself with too much that you won't even remember come exam time. My final exam score was 246/99.

The day before the exam, get enough sleep.

Hi dadoctorwho, thank you so much for your kind reply and precious suggestion. You surely deserve the great score.
I did UW sim1 one month ago, it was also 218. Then I did NBME form 6 and 7, but I couldn't get good score on the NBME tests. That's why I am so anxious now.
Do you think I should stick with my test date or postpone it to improve my score?

In the last 10 days, I'll focus on FA + NBME + uw notes.
I did review FA four times before, but I still couldn't remember details. I have short memory.

I think you are prepared to take your exam. Dont be so anxious. Anxiety will screw everything. I am also an old img. I took my nbme 5 days ago, got 390. not a good grade. my exam supposedly on march 8. I moved it coz i got a low score in nbme 3. yours is a lot better. try with website for usmle score calculator. http://www.clinicalreview.com/welcome/resources/usmle-score-calculator.html if i have a score like yours, ill push thru with my sked exam.
