Passed NCLEX in 60Qs w low scores/bad assessments

Hello, I just wanted to share this in case anyone had a hard time studying like I did. I never related to the students in nursing school who went above and beyond to study all day everyday...and that did not change when it came to preparing for NCLEX. I studied for a month and a half and took a few days off every now and then. I only did 700 questions out of the 2000+ question bank. If you do not finish the QBank YOU WILL BE FINE. Unfortunately there is no telling in what NCLEX will ask you out of all the possible content...especially not in 60 questions (w COVID changes)... it is okay if you do not cover everything or finish the entire QBank. It is impossible to remember absolutely everything. The most important thing is to know how to answer questions. Practicing answering them will help you prepare, no matter how many questions you were able to get through. As long as you are putting good QUALITY in preparing and staying focus in your study time...quantity doesn't always matter. My scores on test sets I did, varied a lot. I finished with my overall score as 57.6% (68th rank) and my median score as 54% (48th rank). I did two self assessments. I did my first one about two weeks into studying and I had a borderline chance of passing with a score of 52%. I did my second one about 3 or 4 days before my scheduled NCLEX date and still got a borderline chance of passing but scored a 57%. I did not have time to reschedule my NCLEX exam and decided to take the risk and have a little faith in myself...I passed in 60 questions.

Uworld is great even for content review so practice as many questions as you can but do not freak out if you don't finish the QBank. Thoroughly read and take notes on the rationales, including the ones for questions you got right but maybe guessed and got lucky. I recommend doing small sets of maybe 20-35 questions and at least once a week doing a 60/75 question set to practice sitting down for a test that long. UWorld is such an amazing tool in preparing you because the questions are hard and will teach you how to critically think. As long as you show some improvement as you go, then feel confident in your abilities to conquer this exam. I hope my bare minimum experience brings you some relief lol. If I can do it, so can you. Good luck!
