Passed Nclex! Success using U-world + Hurst Review

Hello everyone! I took my Nclex on February 4, 2017, I went in really anxious and nervous in what direction this test would take me. In the end, I passed with 75 questions! I used Hurst review to review my core content and did U-world question religiously. I think I did about 1000-1500 question total in a matter of 2 weeks. The questions on Uworld prepares you for the Nclex and the set up is very similar to the actual exam. I actually remember some questions that I received on Uworld being similar to the questions on Nclex! Within the 2 weeks of preparation, I was discourage since my grades on Uworld Q-bank was a total of 67% making me in the 92 percentile. I would make between a 40-70 on each "exam". However, I did hear that the Uworld questions are harder then the actually Nclex. At first I was scared and kind of taken off guard with the "select all that apply", but Uworld helped get over my fear and helped me get use to these format.

Thinking about it now, Uworld is a great investment and the self assessment test is a great determination on passing the Nclex. I made a 61% total- having a 83% chance of passing the Nclex (which is very high).

I'm so happy and can't wait for the new job I'm about to start!

*If anyone has any questions, please ask! I want everyone to succeed on this exam!

Hi....my school encourage students to do Kaplan... I did my live review with Hurst...and I am doing the videos and getting all my content with that... Using Uworld for questions everyday... Sad that when I told my professor she was not happy and told me to better finish in 2 weeks this crazy plan and go back to Kaplan....
Congratulations and I am more confident now into my way to study.

Hi how many select all that apply did you have? Do you feel Uworld helped you in the content that they give? I will be taking my exam soon and I honestly don't even know if I am ready. I have only been using Uworld. My weakest is Pharm and mental health.

* Hey Isabel- I know some people that did Kaplan and passed as well! For me, I thought Hurst was just a better option. I went over the videos that Hurst didn't cover in their live review (Maternity, Pediatrics, Delegation) and just reviewed over the others. I payed close attention to fluid and electrolytes, cardiac, renal, GI/GU, and Respiratory. I think you should do whatever you think is helping you the best! Don't get discouraged over what other people are saying. I think what you are doing is great! Please let me know how it goes for you

Around 10-15? I don't remember honestly, but YES Uworld helped a lot with the content on the exam. Their were similar questions that I did on Uworld that was on the exam. To tell you the truth, I pushed my exam back 2 times because I felt I wasn't prepared enough. My weakest was Pharm as well but just make sure you familiarize with the medication Uworld mentions in their questions. I don't think anyone will truly be prepared for this exam. Just go in and take deep breaths! You'll do great

Thank you so much for the reply. It really means a lot when someone has already taken it to actually care about others and give words of advice and encouragement.
