J1 visa

Hi,
I have a silly question. I am an IMG currently with a B visa. In order to do the residency, do I need to start my J1 application now or until after I get matched and get enrolled in a program? In programs where they offer H and J visas, do they decide which one to sponsor?

Yes you can wait until after you get matched and also look for the requirements which visa is required.

Yes you can wait until after you get matched and also look for the requirements which visa is required.
