Sexually transmitted infections

• Syphilis (eg, RPR followed by FTA-ABS)
• Gonorrhea & chlamydia (eg, NAAT)

Hepatitis A

• Hepatitis A antibody (IgG)

Hepatitis B

• Hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) & antibody (anti-HBs)
• Antibody to hepatitis B core antigen (anti-HBc)

Hepatitis C

• Hepatitis C antibody (consider hepatitis C RNA)

Latent tuberculosis

• Tuberculin skin test OR
• Interferon-gamma release assay

FTA-ABS = fluorescent treponemal antibody-absorption; NAAT = nucleic acid amplification test; RPR = rapid plasma reagin.
