hi congrats....
i have heard that Master the Boards for step3 is very useful for step 2ck...is it true?

Hi and thanks, I didn't use MTB for step3, so I cannot say anything about it.
But I studied 3/4 of MTB for step 2CK and liked it. It is NOT a perfect book, but I found it helpful.
best of luck.

I also recently took the exam (sept 2012)and got my scores back 230 (Oct 2012) and I wanted to confirm what you have said here so others can benefit. Master the Boards 2 appears to be scanty when you flip through the pages but honestly, if one can sit down and go through every page of that book, doing well on CK is guaranteed! PLUS the reliable and trustworthy UWorld Qbank and Self Assessment. Concentrating on these 2 materials in a detailed manner and occasional glances at Kaplan Notes, you will definitely do well on CK. But above all, believe you can and YOU WILL!!
Just wanted to share this with everyone here,in addition to what you already told them. Congrats again!!

Thank you so much. I agree with most of your comments. In addition I think Kaplan Lecture Notes should be studied VERY WELL to obtain a high score. (NOT occasional glances )
good luck

Hi

I used UWorld for both step 1 and 2. Step 2 ck was my latest exam in August 2012, and I feel the step 2 CK questions in the real exam were a lot different from the UWorld. Although I did get a score of 247 in the real exam, the preassessment questions(got 256) in the UWorld were a lot easier and shorter in length than in the exam.

I hope the MLE world updates the bank to include the new pool which is being dished out at the exam now.....so that we all dont go to the exam without a false sense of security.

I didn't take NBMEs for my step2CK, so I don't know which one is better.
good luck

Thanks lucas, but you didn't say what your target score is.
Please review this topic from the beginning and if you still have any questions, I will be happy to help you.

Hello, I'm sorry because I didn't use MTB for step 3, so I can't talk about that.
