Hey , so one can totally skip on Kaplan's notes and lectures? i just gave my exam and i have 3.5 months till my step2 ! how would u advice me to proceed?
i have good concepts in step2 subjects tracing back to books like Harrison bailey love for med n surg!!!1
im really confused regarding how to start !

kaplan notes + master the boards step 2 + uworld q bank ....makes for the perfect recipe...it is all u need to excel on step 2
I ahree with Kaplan MTB and UW combination.

I did one read of kaplan lecture notes + Master the Boards (twice) + UW + Kaplan Qbank and got a 99/267
I read the sample of Yale-G review and didn't like it at all
I also read some FA but was really disappointed by it. Didn't do NBME (waste of money)

Master the Boards is a great book but is missing a lot of information. It is wonderful for last minute prep basically... I would highly recommend Step Up to Step 2. It has more info but unlike MTB, it doesn't tell you what's the best initial or the most accurate tests. For those quick reviews, MTB is great but to cover more info, Step Up to Step 2 is a lot better. Hope it helps
I've bought both from usmle-yaleg.com and amazon.com, and found the Yale-G's is more comprehensive/concise covering more than MTB2; MTB2 focuses on some high-yield data.
The two combined give me more confidence for doing UW-QB...
Learning a lot from the Yale-G's Review and this book and UWorld are my main sources. I have gone through the kaplan notes and lectures and this book is the perfect summary for those pressed for time but still need to get a competitive score. I love the BOLDED high yields. easy to read. The questions at the end of the chapter are very challenging but nail in the frequently missed or hard to grasp high yiled concepts.It is amazing to see how Yale-G successfully summarised all the disciplines in one book.
Both Yale-G's and MTB are excellent last 1-2 mo sum study before the ck2! Use FA only for the images (used book ok). Then UW Qb for high scores!

sorry i havnt started prep yet i will start from sept
it's not necessary to spend so much in the 'learning ctr'. i did twice of the following and got 95:
Yale-g's refined clinical review (http://usmle-yaleg.com/YG-Rep1-web.pdf);
MTB 2CK;
UW.
i met many high-yield data in the exam from the above sources --very valuable.

Yale-G's seems to be the best for 2CK so far (50% for step3).
WHo can recommend the best for Step3?

I'm only doing U-world Qbank...will it be sufficient or do i have to purchase KAPLAN Q-bank as well?
