Can you apply for a state Licenses after Step 3?

I completed all my USMLE exams and I am currently waiting for interviews, can I apply for state License without any residency experience? I looked up the state requirements and most say you need at least one year, however, I am not sure if that is the most update information. Thank you

No, You have to take 2-3 years of clinical experience in an accredited program. This can be a residency or a fellowship and this is different from one state to another.
