Counseling in Peds cases
What things should we try to remember for Peds cases (infant through childhood) to correct or counsel parents/caregivers? Oral rehydration perhaps, trying to think what else...
Hi you need to counsel to the parents and advise the mother to bring in the child for a physical exam and stress the importance of bringing in the child
also understand if the case is an emergency or not
if there is an emergency or if the child appears to be unstable then you may need to call an ambulance and request for the address of where the child is
You can also offer oral rehydration solution at pharmacy if dehydrated
you have to offer rehydration solution with 4 cups of water, 4 tsp sugar 1 tsp of salt, you can mix it and give 4 servings to the child
