Why Howell-Jolly bodies in RBC in aspleenia?

Hello there, i think
Howell jolly bodies are usually removed from RBC by splenic macrophage.
In aspleenia loss of splenic macrophage occur and nuclear remanants(Howell-jolly bodies) apppear in RBCs
So, HOWELL JOLLY BODIES: SIGN OF SPLENIC DYSFUNCTION.
