Hi,I am an IMG with green card and I gave my step 1 in DEC 2013, got a score of 216, disappointed. the score report also says a mean of 227+/- 22 what does this mean on a two digit score?? any idea is it good enough with the new trends for pediatrics.?

Any response is valuable.

Congratulations on passing your exam. I also did step 1 in December, December 21st to be precise, yet to receive my results. How was the exam for you? did you think you would pass or fail?

Hey there, I just received my score as well and did a little digging as to what it meant for me. This will help you gauge your chances in the different specialties including your desired field of peds.

I just got my score back. I wrote on December 18, 2013 and left the exam rather downtrodden. I found my head was spinning during the exam and that I didn't do as well as on the NBME (550) I was wrong. I ended up with a 240 on the USMLE. There are many questions that are strictly for research purposes and are not actually marked which makes it seem as though we did more poorly than we in fact did. Best of luck and I hope this helps ease your mind a touch.
