Hello everyone. I am a 4th yr caribbean medical student. Currently doing my last roation. Hoping to go hardcore on the CK starting the end of may when i am done with this last rotation. Will keep a log to track my progress. Currently using MTB and UW. Any INPUT will be appreciated. Join in if you would like to be a part of a circle of motivation.

Okay got done with one block of UW tutor mode. Read some Gastro from MTB. Hoping to put more time and effort tomorrow.
okay finished some UW questions. read some more gastro from MTB. Busy with current rotation. Gonna keep moving even if it is going slow.
when do you plan to take CK ?
guys..really need to be focused now..lets keep each other motivated..i have been reading obsgyn from Kaplan along with lectures for three days..its taking too long to finish..

keep goin Aruna. Its better to go slow then to stop completely. Consistency is key for all of us.

thanks amkh..consistency and regularity and patience are the key to usmle..cant afford frustration at any cost, this is what I have learned from my usmle journey so far..good luck guys..finally we have a thread like this on this forum..one question for all of you..do u recommend Kaplan for pediatrics and psychiatry ?? or can it b skipped and mtb 3 be used as the sole source?
update for today- did some UW questions on tutor mode. Spent some time applying for CK onlne.

guys..am getting too many surgery questions wrong..wasted my reading Kaplan for it I feel..hoping to start revising all subjects from 28th in 10 days i.e till june 7 along with a block of uworld..planning to give an nbme till june 7-10 maximum so that I can pick up a date for exam..otherwise , I 'll start with step 2 cs prep and wl try giving it by june end and then resume my step 2 ck prep ..that way I can get approx. 1.5 month time extra..
surgery should only be done from Uworld and MTB.
reading kaplan is a huge waste for this exam. kaplan is GREAT for part1, but it's average for part2. you would do better reading MTB.
the Kaplan book best to use for CK is internal medicine ONLY!!
everything else is from uworld and MTB. GOOD LUCK.

Done with Gastro a few days ago. Was too tired to update journal. Currently doing hematology from MTB. Did some UW questions. Got a slot for 09/2013-11/2013. Gonna plan this out practically.
wrapped up a block of tutor mode/random UW Qs. Gonna continue with hematology. Glad to see summer is here.
WOOHOO done with hematology. Moving on to do UW tutor mode block. Just keep swinmming swimming swimming.

Aruna quick question. Whats a good nbme to take for the CK. How many Nbme do we have ???
NBME 2,3,4 and 6 I think..nbme 6 is the latest one but people say its almost similar to nbme 1 ( how it used to be) what I have heard is people take nbme 3 and 4 and UWSA for self assessment and it is a common belief that UWSA is the most predictive for ck..hows study going guys..??? I haven't done anything for the past 3 days..and today I am having a hard time concentrating on studies after a 3 day break..hopefully will be able to finish 70% uworld by the end of this week and will start revision before I take a an nbme..(most likely nbme 3)

Studying is going alright( SLOW but definitely CONSISTENT) but it could be better. Struggling with summer distractions loll.

I think that nbme sa is harder and more predictive than other S.A. exams .
what is NBME sa? which NBME do you think correlates most to the real exam?

Finished with UW block tutor mode. Gonna finish reading some ethics from MTB soon
