Hi
Actually I m stuck in primary hyperaldrosteronism ,they r saying when we do plasma aldosterone /plasma renin ratio over 30 is suggestive of diagnosis ,so if ratio below this then we will not consider it hyperaldrosteronism ,plz help me in this question
Thanks

Aldosterone to Renin ratio (A/R- ratio), High aldosterone Increase ratio.
If renin and aldosterone, both are high or normal will not increase this ratio.
If u reverse the ratio, like Renin-to aldosterone (R/A- ratio) than High aldosterone reduces ratio.(denomenator is high)
In short A/R- ratio is High and R/A is low in Primary Hyperaldosteronism.
Hope this help u..
