-Is the patient stable, yes or no? If yes go to the physical exam. If not go directly to order sheet and order life saving orders first

-Is the patient in the E.R. or Office? If in the E.R. stabilize the patient and then transfer to ICU or Ward. (The patient is considered stabilized when you get a patient update stating the patient is feeling better.)
If in the office send the patient home until labs are available. (You can still order labs or send the patient to the E.R. even if the patient is at home.)

-To advance the time and to make sure all orders have gone in, you must click the clock icon and select next available results. Until you do this the orders and labs will not go into the computer software.
