someone please explain to me when to CAGE. Does a glass of wine a day warrant a CAGE? How about a glass of wine only on the weekends? How about a couple of beers on the weekends?

Hi, If half bottle of vodka every day for 5 years, there is no need for CAGE and go directly for counseling (in this case the patient has drinking problem). if less than 2 beers for men and 1 beer for women, there is no need for CAGE ( no serious problem). Weekends usually not important because the guy doesn't feel the need it during weekdays. If more then 1-2 beers a day go for CAGE.
