USMLE 1 Scores
Hi , I really wanna know how someone could estimate her/his scores on USMLE by knowing the number of his wrong answers .. for example i need 240 in step 1 , do u know approximately how many wrong answers in each block i could have ? I read in one forum that if u have about 10 wrong answers in each block , u can still get 230-240 !! but i can't count on it !
What I have heard is for 240 you need to only have 2-3 wrong in each block!
But then again each question does not carry equal weightage!
Thx, Does wrong answer has extra negative point ? in other words if u have doubts about the answer is it better to not answer the question than answer it wrong ? or the wrong answer and not answering the question has the same equal point ?
There is no negative points for a wrong answer. Better to make a wild guess than skip the question!
