If you've had proper training you can prepare for the CS exam in 2-3 weeks.
It all the depends on what type of patients you're used to seeing and if you use the skills they test you on in real life.
For people who do their rotations in US hospitals and follow the corect format and mannerisms 2-3 weeks is fine.
i am considering to sit cs around feb-mar,2013,can anyone guide me please, iam an IMG with good clinical experience and will be reaching NYC this month end, anyone interested to be a sp may reply
2-3 weeks it is to prepare for CS... U dont need more than that...
no i am an fmg also. i think it takes 2 months to really prepare well for part ck, but a lot of it is bedside manner, smiling, good explanation in common terms (not medical). you have to act like the patient is the boss..which is what american hospitals are like. if you have a typical Indian doctor attitude like "I am a doctor i am the King of Delhi" then you will fail because this shows no compassion towards the patients needs as a sick person. i think 2 months is good. 6 months is kinda of long. Devika have you finally passed CS
no i took cs april 2012. it was a hard exam, but you have to know how to talk to a sick person. it's ALLL acting. they act you act and then go type. i studied honestly for 2 months. so 8 weeks. and i am an FMG not an AMG, devika.
